The Welcome
The Welcome is a new and upcoming bar and restaurant located in Prestwich Village. Before launching, the new owner planned to transform the space into a retro diner experience, requiring branding to assist with their vision.

Logo & Colour Palette
I chose a colour palette that is bright, nostalgic, and theatrical to welcome the retro experience and guide the bold Art Deco inspired logo.
Imagery
I created illustrative imagery to uphold a cheerful and comfortable atmosphere.
Typography
Placing 2 display fonts together can be risky, however, the heavy weight of the main logo compliments the tall and attractive secondary font.
The Solution
Although inspired by the retro diner experience, I didn’t want to fall under the category of being typical, and so delivered the branding with a modern twist. My aim was to create a slight high-end ambience, yet hold a cheerful atmosphere to help everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
